Research has shown that “tactile facilitation”, or touch, is the best way for the physio to give you feedback on how you are performing an exercise, to assess whether you are activating the target muscle effectively and to help you switch on a muscle if it is not working. We believe that one of the most important principles of Pilates is controlling the technique of an exercise.
