Donnae graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006 and has worked in a variety of areas of physiotherapy at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with a particular interest in Neurosurgery, rehabilitation and ICU. She has also spent some time at the Spinal Injuries Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Donnae competed nationally as a gymnast both here in Australia and in South Africa which led her to develop her special interest in clinical exercise prescription. She recognized the benefits that physiotherapist-led exercise has on enhancing performance in elite athletes by increasing core stability and preventing injuries, completing her Pilates training in 2003. Donnae has enjoyed applying her skills to patients in all walks of life, including those suffering from head injuries, burns and general deconditioning after prolonged ICU stays. Donnae is a mum to 3 busy little boys and joined the Q Pilates team in 2015.
